Since being admitted to the New York State Bar in 1994, I have worked exclusively with clients dealing with divorce, separation and other family law issues. In 1998, I founded the Law Offices of Michelle M. Delgado, P.C., offering a complete range of legal services to facilitate the sympathetic and personal handling of all matters pertaining to matrimonial and family law, including but not limited to the Negotiation & Settlement of Divorce, Equitable Distribution of Marital Assets, Separation & Marital Agreements, Child Custody, Child Support, Spousal Support / Maintenance, and Visitation.

With over 25 years of professional experience, I am ready to counsel, negotiate, or litigate in the best interests of my clients. I have the acumen and resources necessary to ascertain the appropriateness and usage of appraisers (i.e. financial, business, real property, pension, etc.), neutral evaluators, clinical psychologists, and/or forensic accountants, to obtain a fair result for my clients.

Throughout my legal career, I have litigated and tried cases before the Supreme Court of the State of New York, and the Family Court of the State of New York. In countless instances, I have obtained favorable results for my clients.

Trained in Divorce Mediation, I often act as a Mediation Review Attorney. I am also trained in Divorce Collaborative Law Process. Committed to providing the highest level of representation, I am dedicated to counseling, guiding, supporting and educating my clients, allowing them to make the best decisions for their situation.

I received a B.A. in Political Science from New York University, and a J. D. from Villanova University School of Law. I am a Member of the New York State Bar Association (Family Law Section); and Nassau County Bar Association (Matrimonial Law Committee and Family Court Law & Procedure Committee).
